Marks and Spencer to open in Paris again

British high street chain store, Marks and Spencer, is to set up shop in Paris again, 10 years after it closed all its branches in France.
A new Marks and Spencer store is to open on the Champs Elysées in time for the Christmas rush at the end of this year. It will sell womenswear and food.
The company also hopes to open a number of its smaller “Simply Food” stores in and around the French capital, and is exploring other locations to sell a larger range of clothes and food....

The takeover of Thierry Mugler's runway presentations by Lady Gaga and her stylist Nicola Formichetti has come full circle with Gaga confirming via Twitter that she will walk in the show on March 2 at 9:30pm CET.
The tweet reads: "I'm making my debut as a runway model, walking in the MUGLER PARIS FASHIONSHOW 3/2. I directed the show music, previewing Government Hooker," with "previewing" meaning that the singer will premiere a never-heard-before track during the show....

French fashion house Dior said on Tuesday it is firing John Galliano after complaints were lodged with police that their star designer made offensive and anti-Semitic comments last week.
Dior said it had decided to fire him after seeing a video clip allegedly showing the designer making abusive comments in a Paris bar.

No new 3 star restaurant in the 2011 edition of the Michelin France Guide, One restaurant loses its third star and five -- including three in Paris -- gain a second.
