Jean Paul Gaultier has long been known as the enfant terrible of fashion.

known as one of the industry’s master tailors, with a knack for tuxes, trenches, and leather, and a tendency to embrace equestrian, military, and royal tropes.
In addition to the clothes, Gaultier created a successful fragrance line, packaged in his signature torso-shaped bottles. His first couture collection didn’t come until 1997, but has been critically acclaimed since its beginnings.

Gaultier caused shock by using unconventional models for his exhibitions, like old and fat women, pierced and heavy tattooed models.

Gaultier also designed the wardrobe of many motions pictures, including Luc Besson's The Fifth Element, Pedro Almodóvar's Kika. Gaultier became globally famous for the provocative costumes he designed for Madonna's world tours.

Today, Gaultier is designing womenswear, menswear, accessories, fragrance and couture for a worldwide audience.
