Discover and practice the French table setting manners and etiquette in one of the most renown brands' showroom, Gien Madeleine.

This tour takes place in Madeleine district, in Gien's beautiful showroom and starts with a welcome drink. After 2 or 3 interactive games about tableware and table manners, we will teach you the basics of "à la française" rules regarding different aspects of table manners : setting and service, particular objects and their use for example.

We will also teach you a bit of history, telling you anecdotes and explaining how the table manners have evolved over the centuries (from the Middle-Age to nowadays). We will give you some tips on how to behave or not to behave at a French restaurant, so that you can feel like a local. After this first part, you will have the opportunity to settle your own table, using Gien tableware items as well as some other silverware, glass or cristal items. We will offer to choose amongst different items (4 different Gien series) according to the season (example : for Christmas time, we will make a special Christmas table setting).

After making 2 different tables with the other participants and take funny pictures all together, we will have a light French brunch including black or green tea, juice, mini croissants, mini cakes and/or biscuits.

At the end of the class, you will receive a small present from Gien showroom, together with a free coupon, offering another present for any purchase higher than 50 euros in Gien boutique.
