Le Showcase - Paris

Le Showcase is notorious for its historically unique location, unprecedented architecture, and clientele that range from Paris’s “golden youth” socialites to France’s political leaders.

Offering a venue rich in history and unique in design, is has hosted multiple parties for French President Nicolas Sarkozy and well-known artists from around the world.

Showcase is the venue to be seen in. It's a unique nightclub inside old boat hangars, under the Champs Elysées' Alexandre III bridge, with views over the Seine.
Showcase is a massive club under the Alexander the third bridge.

It's also nicely decorated (some tables are actually vintage arcade machines) and lit (neons that shift colours and an impressive array of mechanical lights).

There's always a line after midnight, so get there early if you hate standing in line behind the metal barriers like cattle.

Lively, youngish preppie crowd, don't be afraid to overdress.

I was extremely disappointed with the Showcase - Paris Live Club for the New Year's Party. I have never in my life received such low service. I have paid in advance (120 euros) for a table reservation and a bottle of alcohol and when I arrived (12h30am because there was a queue) they told there were no more tables available. After I asked to see their manager, they finally gave me and my friends a table but after one hour they forced us away from it with security!! I tried to speak with somebody in charge but apparently everybody there was not responsible for anything so I couldn't get to anybody. Plus most of the French mademoseilles there refused to talk to me and pointed to the manager that was outside of the club..literally, outside on the street. Of course, if I went outside, there was no chance of getting back inside because my ticket was taken away when I entered. I was also forced by security to either step outside or inside. When I finally gave up, me and my friends wanted to leave our coats at the wardrobe BUT there was no more space left. HOW is management happening in that place?! In a Parisian club?! You sell 2000 tickets but you don't have 2000 places in the wardrobe (for which, of course, you had to pay). Of course, when I asked again for the manager, they told me there is nobody in charge there. BTW, me and my friends paid each 80 euros for this evening. I had the right to 10 drinks but, surprisingly, they "didn't have any champagne left" and the long drinks actually accounted for 2 drinks. So, I will never ever set foot in that club or any other club in Paris for the matter.
