The Eiffel Tower is one of the most famous monuments in the world (324 metres, 10,100 tonnes).

 

Was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 for the World Fair, where it was the star attraction.

You can go to few to restaurants on the Eiffel Tower, the most known is the " Le Jules Verne" Just great to dine there!!

Some---most---of the commentary is so infantile that I am surprised that they even bothered to comment. Yes, we KNOW it is a a magnificent example of engineering and design, and the view is overwhelming, but try stating something which is intelligent, and NOT wishful thinking.

When we finally got to the tower, the que was almost two hours long. The kids would never stand it so we went back to the hotel. We spoke to the hotel personnel that urge us to go in the morning, but this was not either any guarantee that we will make it in reasonable time. There should be a limit how long you could stay on top so that many more people could benefit from visiting the top. It's not worth it at all even though the tower it self is very beautiful. The French people should learn from Scandinavia how they solve crowded places. I wish I could take my kids up to the top and show them how nice it is, but how to do that without waiting for a decade to get up?

Everytime I see a picture of the Eifel tower, I am reminded of the dream me and my little one have. To go there some day! It brings tears to my eyes becuase there's nothing like a little girls dreams to see you through some tough times.

I LOVED the Eiffel Tower. My first time in Paris and I could not wait to see it. When I first saw it, it literally took my breath away. There is a replica in Cincinnati, Ohio which I have visited numerous times, but it is only 1/3 the size and nothing like he original!!!!
I want to tour Paris again.
